Family and guest are all invited to participate in the Commencement Exercise. The average attendance size, per graduate, is ten family members.

Special seating for families with disabilities, limited mobility will be available. Contact Disability Services for Students at (901) 321- 3531 or email kconway@cbu.edu to make arrangements. Requests should be made as soon as possible.
All guest will use the entrance located on Central Avenue. See Commencement Parking Map for more information.
Printed programs containing the names of graduates, a list of faculty, and other information about Commencement will be distributed on Commencement day. Graduates’ programs will be on their chairs. Guests will be able to pick up their programs as they enter the Commencement area (2 per family).
Restrooms in nearby buildings surrounding The Commencement Area will be open, including the Thomas Center, Nolan Engineering and Cooper-Wilson. Maps of open restrooms will be available at many locations during Commencement. Portable restrooms are located in the southeast section of Signagio Field.
In order to reduce the hazards of exposure to secondhand smoke, smoking is prohibited on CBU's campus, except for designated smoking areas.
Please turn off cell phones and personal electronic devices during the ceremony.
Dogs and other animals, other than service animals, are not permitted at Commencement or on the University grounds on Commencement day.
Pursuant to CBU administrative policy, alcoholic beverages are not allowed in or around the Commencement Exercises. All violators of this policy will be asked, at the least, to dispose of their open containers and remaining beverages.
An emergency first aid station will be set up near the northeast side of Signagio Field. Campus Safety Officers will be on duty in the Commencement area to assist with first aid, emergencies and lost and found. Look for signage on Commencement day.
The weather can be very warm, and there is little shade available at the Commencement site. In the case of inclement weather, the Commencement Exercise will be held at

Every effort will be made to notify students via social media outlets in advance. The ceremony will go forward at 11:00 a.m. at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church in the event of inclement weather. Guests with grey tickets only will be allowed into the venue. To receive timely updates, please continue to check the CBU website, your university email or you may text 'CBU' to 313131.
An information, message, and lost and found center will be located at the Campus Safety office. Meeting Guests after the Ceremony Families are urged to make arrangements before Commencement to meet graduates and friends after the ceremonies at the Commencement reception in Buckman Quadrangle. Please be reminded that family and guests must remain in their seats during the Recessional.
Photography service is being provided by Mangiante Photography. Photos of graduates will be available on the Monday following Commencement at the following website www.mangiantephotography.com.
Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1695 Central Avenue, Memphis TN 38104 7:00 p.m. Students will meet at the Cathedral by 6:30 p.m.
A reception for graduates and guests will be held following Baccalaureate in Marion Hall. Families will have the chance to take photos with their graduates. See Map & Directions
