Spread the News

CBU maintains several outlets to share news within the campus community and with external audiences.

News Releases

If you have a news or event item that you feel should be publicized beyond the campus community by way of a news release, contact the Vice President for Communications & Marketing at emarus@cbu.edu. News releases are usually reserved for news and events with a potential audience that extends beyond the campus to the Memphis community at large. Please submit event items at least three weeks in advance.

CBU Connection

The Connection is CBU’s email newsletter which is distributed to all students, faculty and staff, trustees, and interested alumni and parents. To submit news and announcements or to be added to the distribution list, contact connection@cbu.edu.

Bell Tower magazine

Bell Tower, the quarterly alumni magazine of CBU, contains news and features of alumni, faculty, students and friends of the University. Submit story ideas and alumni class notes to alumni@cbu.edu.

Social Media

CBU maintains an active presence across various Social Media outlets. Be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for immediate updates on events, programs and campus activities. Also, be sure to check out our Social Media page where we keep an up-to-date listing of all official Social Media accounts associated with the University.

Please notify the Communications & Marketing department of any official CBU maintained by CBU offices and departmentson. That way we can maintain a consistent identity for the University, ensure accuracy of information, and make sure that various pages are cross-linked to maximize the visibility and networking capability that these sites offer. Please notify the Department prior to the pages "going live."

This policy, of course, does not apply to personal pages, student or alumni group pages, or any other page not officially affiliated with Christian Brothers University.

Contacting the News Media

Any member of the CBU community is required to contact the Communications & Marketing department before making any official contact with the outside news media regarding CBU events or news. For tips on contacting and dealing with the media, CLICK HERE (campus domain only). Members of the media are not allowed on campus without the knowledge and approval of the Communications & Marketing department. For more details, take a look at our Media Guidelines.

Christian Brothers University supports academic inquiry and the healthy exchange of divergent viewpoints on its campus. The views and opinions of speakers and/or authors expressed on its campus, in the classroom or hosted public events, do not necessarily reflect those of the University itself, nor does the University necessarily endorse these views and opinions.
