Assistant Professor of Creative Writing (3-year contract, with the option to renew)

Reports to: Chair of Literature and Languages
Position Start Date: August 2014 to fill a vacancy from a retirement

Summary and Qualifications

Ph.D. or MFA in Creative Writing, with an emphasis in screenplay and/or dramatic writing.  The ideal candidate will also have competency in one of the following areas: Spanish, 18th Century Literature, or Romantic Poetry.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaches 12 hours per semester
  • Teaches first-year composition
  • Advises students
  • Teaches upper-level courses in speciality area
