Full-Time Instructor, Nursing Program

- Designs, Evaluates and Teaches 12 hours of credit hours of Nursing courses/clinical per semester in the RN to BSN program.
- Advises and recruits students as required.
- Service on Nursing Faculty Organization and CBU Committees.
- Engages in service work at the campus, local and/or international level.
- Office hours per University requirements
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. Current or eligible for an active, unencumbered Tennessee registered nursing license or multistate licensure privilege to practice as a registered nurse in Tennessee. Current knowledge of the practice of Registered Nurses as well as Advanced Practice Nurses. Experience within the last 5 years for both classroom instruction (lecture) and clinical/practicum areas as required.
Preferred teaching experience in an accredited higher educational nursing program. Preferred Doctoral prepared at the levels of PhD, EdD or DNP. Experience with current use of technology in nursing education including simulators, use of “smart classroom” format, and web-enhanced instruction through online-teaching methods. Experience with accreditation, self-study process, program evaluation and standardized testing. Experience with licensure requirements as set by the state board of nursing. CPR Certified.
