Christian Brothers University is proud to continue its partnership with the Day Foundation in offering the Day Foundation La Salle Scholars Program for the 2026-2027 academic year.

This prestigious scholarship program celebrates CBU’s 153-year commitment to the Memphis community and its unwavering dedication to our Lasallian principles of faith, justice, scholarship, inclusion, and service. Thanks to the generous support of the Day Foundation and funding from Christian Brothers University, up to ten full-tuition scholarships will be awarded annually to first-time freshmen from Memphis and Shelby County-area high schools.

The Day Foundation La Salle Scholars Program seeks students who demonstrate fairness, compassion, and leadershipqualities essential for driving positive change in our communities. Scholars will have the opportunity to thrive at CBU while giving back through service and leadership initiatives.

Scholarship Details

  • Up to 10 full-tuition scholarships awarded annually
  • Renewable for up to 4 years (8 semesters)
  • Open to all high school seniors in Memphis & Shelby County
  • The Day Foundation Scholarship will supersede CBU awards (e.g., Merit Scholarship, Visit Grant)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • High school seniors applying to Christian Brothers University
  • Minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Minimum standardized test scores*:
  • ACT: 25+
  • SAT: 1200+

Must be pursuing a degree in one of the following areas*:

  • School of Sciences
  • School of Business
  • School of Engineering
  • Education (Rosa Deal School of Arts)

Application Deadline: October 15, 2026

Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than November 15, 2025.

Top applicants will be invited to campus for interviews and special events.

Scholarship recipients will be selected following a thorough review process by a CBU Faculty, Staff, and Alumni Committee.

*Recipients must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and remain enrolled in a major within the School of Sciences, School of Engineering, School of Business, or School of Education while matriculating at CBU.
