Leadership Concentration with the New Memphis Institute Fellows Program

Launched in 2004, the New Memphis Fellows program is a 12-month engagement that gives high-potential leaders the tools, experiences and connections needed to become community change agents. The heart of the Fellows is the Community Action Project where teams of Fellows invest their highly skilled volunteerism to help a local non-profit expand its capacity. The program offers a network that puts your passion for Memphis to work in meaningful ways throughout the city, and deepens your connection to the city.

CBU MBA students who graduate from the Fellows program are eligible for 9 graduate credit hours which can be converted from their experience into the Leadership concentration to satisfy the electives for their MBA.

Non-Profit Management Concentration with the Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence

The Alliance offers training and professional development opportunities across seven cores areas of nonprofit management. Alliance workshops are designed to provide practical tools that can be readily implemented while creating opportunities for peer learning and collaboration. Alliance workshops help participants build the confidence and capability to be effective nonprofit leaders.

CBU MBA students who’ve complete 100 workshop hours with the Alliance are eligible for 9 graduate credit hours which can be converted from their experience into the Non-Profit Management concentration, to satisfy the electives for their MBA.
