Advisory Board

Mission Statement

The objective of the ME Industry Advisory Board is to assist the Department of Mechanical Engineering in maintaining the excellence of the program and to encourage it to continue its traditional "hands-on" approach to engineering education. The goals of the ME Industry Advisory Board are:

  • To help keep the Department of Mechanical Engineering up-to-date on current and future needs of engineering graduates planning to enter different sectors of industries;
  • To assist the Department of Mechanical Engineering in developing and implementing goals related to the ME curriculum, laboratories and student activities;
  • To create an opportunity for faculty to exchange ideas with people in the industry;
  • To help industry leaders better understand the goals of the Department of Mechanical Engineering;
  • To assist the Department of Mechanical Engineering in seeking public and private support for the curriculum, laboratories and student activities.
