Kimmi Hayden to Lead Lady Bucs

Kimmi HaydenChristian Brothers University (CBU) Athletics Director Joe Nadicksbernd announced the appointment of Kimmi Hayden as the Lady Bucs’ new head softball coach.

Hayden was the Lady Bucs’ assistant coach this spring, helping guide CBU to a 21-25 season, tying the school record for wins in a season.

“The players on this year’s team really like Kimmi,” Nadicksbernd said. “I believe she is a perfect fit to be our new coach. She is extremely organized and is excited about this opportunity to coach college softball.”

The San Diego native was a three-year starter as catcher for the University of Memphis before suffering a career-ending injury. She graduated magna cum laude from the Sports Management program at U of M, and is currently enrolled in its graduate program,

Hayden replaces Donna Crone, who was CBU’s head coach for 10 years before being promoted to Assistant Athletics Director / Compliance Coordinator. ###
