The Beverly and Sam Ross Gallery at Christian Brothers University (CBU) will feature Artists’ Link “Goes Green” beginning October 16 through December 10. An opening reception will be held on Friday, October 16, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the gallery on the lower level of Plough Memorial Library.
The exhibit, juried by Veda Reed, features a variety of mediums that express the richness of the earth and each artist’s interpretation of “green.” The more than one hundred members created pieces focusing on recycling, nature or simply the color green. The creative license of each artist expands the variety of pieces in the exhibition.
Artists’ Link, founded in 1989, is an all-volunteer organization created as a resource and support group for Memphis-area visual artists and as a link between artists and the community. The group holds monthly meetings that are free and open to the public with presentations on all forms of visual arts.
Hours at the Beverly & Sam Ross Gallery are Monday-Thursday, 7:45 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.; Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 1:00-11:00 p.m. Hours may vary due to University schedules. Call (901) 321-3243 to verify, or visit the website at www.cbu.edu/library/gallery. ###
