Barulli Named CBU’s Outstanding Graduate Engineering Alumnus

Memphis – Christian Brothers University (CBU) awarded Daniel Barulli the 2010 R. Craig Blackman Outstanding Graduate Engineering Alumni Award during its annual Graduate Engineering Dinner.

Daniel Barulli, a Las Vegas, NV native, graduated from the United States Military Academy with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 1988. Barulli severed four years as an Infantry Army officer. Furthering his pursuit of higher education, he received his Master of Divinity from Harding University Graduate School of Religion in 1998 and Master of Engineering Management (MEM) from CBU in 2004. In addition, Barulli was among the founding members of the Delta Chapter of the Engineering Management Honor Society.

Since 1993, Barulli has worked at Federal Express, beginning as a handler. He has held numerous positions within the corporation including industrial engineer in support of hub and revenue operations and manager in the hub and revenue operations. Currently, Barulli is manager of the Program Management Office for FedEx Customer Information Services, providing resource management, communication and project assessment of all initiatives impacting the planning organizations.

Beyond work at Federal Express, Barulli is an elder in his church, a den leader of Cub Scout Pack 186 in Southaven, MS and an adjunct professor at Mid-South Christian College.

“Since he was a student at CBU, Danny has been an advocate for Graduate Engineering and the Master of Engineering Management Program,” notes Dr. Neal Jackson, CBU Director of Graduate Engineering Programs. “Through his academic and professional success, and strong character, Danny is an excellent representative of the high standards and quality of our graduates.”

The R. Craig Blackman Outstanding Graduate Engineering Alumni Award is named for the founder of the Graduate Engineering Program and recognizes individuals for their academic excellence, professional success, community service and continual support of CBU, the School of Engineering and the Graduate Engineering Programs.
