Revues Headline CBU Spring Theatre and Music Season

Memphis – The Christian Brother University (CBU) Visual & Performing Arts Department will present two revues during the Spring 2010 season. “At Random: Some Unrelated Songs and Scenes” and “Classics, Spirituals, and DISNEY!” will be held during April in the University Theater.

The Spring 2010 theatrical performance, “At Random: Some Unrelated Songs and Scenes,” features the talents of CBU theatre and music students and Dr. Bob Brittingham, professor of economics. The comical revue combines a variety of unrelated scenes and musical acts for a night of musical and theatrical comedy.

The premier CBU choir, the CB Singers’ annual spring concert, “Classics, Spirituals, and DISNEY!” pulls together music from across the musical spectrum. Including solos and group pieces, the concert constructs a full view of the choir’s talents.

Show time for “Classics, Spirituals and DISNEY!” is April 30 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. For additional information, contact J. Tommy Gaines at jgaines@cbu.edu or (901) 321-3390.

Show times for “At Random” are April 22 and 23 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $1 for CBU students and faculty with ID. Tickets will be sold at the door, no reserved seating. For additional information, contact Matthew Hamner at mhamner@cbu.edu or (901) 321-3026. ###
