CBU Kicks Off Fall Concert Series This Saturday

Memphis- Christian Brothers University (CBU) opens its 2010 Fall Concert Series with “A Festival of Song” featuring the CB Singers along with their newest group, Exceptional Sound this Saturday, October 2 at 1:00 p.m. Tommy Gaines, Associate Professor of Visual and Performing Arts, will conduct all concerts this fall featuring his students and directing the CB Singers. Mark your calendar to attend these entertaining musical events as they are sure to make the fall a pleasant memory.

Saturday, October 2, 2010 – 1:00 p.m. – University Theater on the CBU Campus
 ”A Festival of Song”

The annual fall concert features an afternoon of vocal and piano selections comprised of songs that will bring you back to the good ol’ days. The concert will be performed by the CB Singers along with their newest group, Exceptional Sound. This concert is being performed in conjunction with the CBU Alumni weekend.

Tuesday, November 23, 2010 – 7:00 p.m. – Spain Auditorium on the CBU Campus
“An Evening of Recital”

This magical evening of voice and piano includes the students of Tommy Gaines and Dr. Sharon Momany.

Friday, December 3, 2010 – 7:00 p.m. – University Theater on the CBU Campus
“A Celebration of Christmas”
Join the CB Singers and the campus community as they continue the tradition of beginning the holiday season with a concert of lively holiday music.
