CBU Names Yancey Graduate & Professional Studies Director

Julie YanceyJulie Yancey, SPHR has been appointed the Director of Graduate & Professional Studies at Christian Brothers University (CBU). Yancey will lead the marketing, recruitment and retention for evening undergraduate and graduate programs at the University. She will also have responsibility for the financial planning and administrative operations.

Yancey brings to CBU over 28 years of experience as a business leader, professional and adjunct professor right here in the Memphis Metropolitan area. Specializing in human resources, Yancey has many years of progressive management and business experience in large and small corporations, and has proven ability in using innovative solutions for integration of acquired workforce and clients at multiple sites, nationally and globally. Most notably, she was a managing Director at FedEx, Human Resource Director at Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Canada, PLLC and recently, Vice President Human Resources at Securas Consulting Group, LLC. Yancey has also served as an adjunct professor at local universities including CBU, Union University, and the University of Memphis in both undergraduate and MBA programs.

With a history of active involvement in the Memphis community and the Mid-South, Yancey has served on multiple boards including the Collierville Chamber of Commerce, St. Agnes Academy – St. Dominic School Technology Strategy Committee, Corporate Advisory Board with the Center for MIS at Texas A&M University, the HR Management Board at Research Board, Inc. and the Key Executive Advisory Committee at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She has also been featured in numerous local and national articles and publications.

Yancey earned her BBA in Personnel Management (1984) from Memphis State University, Executive MBA (1997) from Christian Brothers University and Certification in Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Society for Human Resources Certification.
