Greer Joins CBU Board of Trustees

Emily GreerMemphis – The Christian Brothers University Board of Trustees named Emily Sawyer Greer as its newest member during its May meeting.

Greer, a human resources senior executive with more than 25 years of experience, was recently named Chief of Staff for ALSAC, the fundraising organization of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She oversees the organization’s strategic planning, executive communications strategy, business continuity, human resources and donor services divisions.

Throughout her successful 18-year tenure with ALSAC, she has served in various management roles including Senior Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, she developed and implemented strategic human resources plans leading to substantial organizational growth. Furthermore, Greer excelled in creating both the structure and team necessary to guide the talent acquisition process in hiring, developing and retaining the best possible employees to attain Best-in-Class fundraising to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Prior to joining ALSAC, Greer was employed in the retail and distribution and warehousing industries.

Greer is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) which is a designation earned through the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House, LeMoyne-Owen College and the Memphis Medical Center. Greer holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing/Management from Christian Brothers University and Executive MBA from the University of Memphis.
