Christian Brothers University President Dr. John Smarrelli Jr. was featured on the August broadcast of The Spark, which aired on WKNO-TV on August 22, 2013.
Dr. Smarrelli spoke with host Jeremy Park about how the CBU is focused not on just educating students, but also preparing them for success in the workplace. The university is doing some innovative things like taking their MBA offsite and working with companies to have cohorts take classes in the office, using real-life situations, data, and analysis. President Smarrelli also discussed a number of community collaborations that afford students the opportunity to have a deeper connection with our city, such as the “September of Service” program. The segment also features CBU Physician Assistant students in clinical rotation at Delta Medical Center.
The Spark is a monthly TV show, airing on WKNO-TV the third Thursday of each month at 9:00 p.m. The show focuses on positive stories from across the Mid-South.
