The CBU School of Engineering is the oldest ABET accredited engineering school in Memphis, TN. For over fifty years, the faculty, staff, and students have collaborated to learn and explore the art of engineering. The School of Engineering educates engineering graduates in the disciplines of electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical. The chemical, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering degree programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012, 410.347.7700.
In addition to the four disciplines, the School of Engineering collaborates with the School of Sciences to offer a Dual Degree program that provides you the opportunity to earn undergraduate degrees in electrical engineering and computer science simultaneously. The School of Engineering and the School of Business jointly offer a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Management with concentrations in Packaging and Information Management. As an engineering student you may also choose minors in several areas of study including Mathematics, Computer Science, and Packaging. The School of Engineering also offers a certificate program in Packaging Engineering and a Master of Science program in Engineering Management (MSEM).
Each curriculum is sufficiently flexible to permit a student to tailor a course of study for entry into the engineering profession immediately or for continued study in graduate school. While most graduates remain in the engineering field, a significant number use their engineering background as a foundation for careers in law, medicine, business, education, science, and other areas.
At CBU, you have the opportunity to connect with a network of alumni who work as engineers in a wide variety of industries. Some have started their own successful companies; others apply their knowledge and skills in related fields, such as medicine, business, law, and education. One thing is undeniable: the success of our graduates is outstanding.
