Honors Program: Honoring Our DREAMers

In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month and the hope to recognize the cultures, histories, and influences of those of Spanish, Mexican, Caribbean, and South American decent, the CBU Honors Program will host a special evening of education, connection, and reflection about a group of students who make incredible contributions to our CBU community: our CBU DREAMer Students!

Join the Honors Program on Wednesday, September 15 at 7:00 pm in Spain Auditorium for a chance to hear an informative presentation from DREAMer Scholar Advisor & Advising and Retention Specialist, Jacqueline Herrera Otero, followed by a student panel!

The National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers announced the 2021 Hispanic Heritage Month observance theme: “Esperanza: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and Hope.” The theme invites us to celebrate Hispanic Heritage and to reflect on how great our tomorrow can be if we hold onto our resilience and hope. It encourages us to reflect on all the contributions Hispanics have made in the past and will continue to make in the future.
