Education
- University of Arkansas, PhD
- LeTourneau University, MS
- LeTourneau University, BS
Courses Taught
-
CE 299: Hydraulics
Study of hydrostatics and hydrodynamics includes pressure heads, pressure centers, buoyancy and flotation, stability of gravity dams, flow of fluids in pipes and open channels, nozzles, weirs, compound and branching pipe networks. Fundamentals of conveyance system design. Oral and written communication skills are required.
-
CE 329: Environmental Engineering I
Introduction to environmental engineering, environmental regulations, mass balance, energy balance, water chemistry, water quality, water supply, and drinking water treatment and processes. Oral and written communication skills are required.
-
CE 431: Senior Project
Interdisciplinary team design projects are suggested by the faculty (but may be initiated by students) and approved by the faculty. Students work in teams to investigate and develop two design alternatives for a project. Reports are presented in both oral and written form. Practitioner involvement is required in each design alternative.
-
CE 489: Licensing and Certification in Civil Engineering
All civil engineering students must enroll in this course as well as register, take and pass either the FE exam or mock FE exam before they can earn their B.S. in Civil Engineering from CBU. This course also requires students to earn one or more professional certifications. Pass/Fail grading.
