We have been supporting Dreamers and undocumented students since 2014 through partnerships with groups such as TheDream.US and Equal Chance for Education. Admissions FAQs for CBU Dreamers
Who are classified as Dreamers?
Dreamers are students that were brought to the U.S. as children and may be undocumented, DACA recipients, TPS recipients, or other domestic students ineligible to complete the FAFSA.

How do I know if I am eligible to complete the FAFSA as a Domestic, Non-US Citizen?

Does CBU require citizenship status to apply?
CBU does not require the disclosure of immigration or legal status to apply.
Do Dreamers qualify for financial aid at CBU?
Yes! CBU offers merit-based scholarships and grants to Dreamers. We also offer two competitive scholarship programs through our partnership with TheDream.US and Equal Chance for Education.
How do I know if I am eligible to apply for CBU’s DREAMer scholarship programs?
You must be eligible for admission to CBU and meet the academic and immigration requirements of TheDream.US or for Equal Chance for Education. If you are in Tennessee, you might be eligible for Equal Chance for Education. If you are in a locked-out state, you might be eligible for TheDream.US Opportunity Scholarship.
I do not meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarships from TheDream.US or Equal Chance for Education. What can I do?

I am a Dreamer attending another institution. What is the process to transfer to CBU?
CBU welcomes Dreamers looking to transfer from a community college or university. Contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@cbu.edu or (901) 321-3205 for more information on the application process and financial aid available for transfer students.
