“Dead Man Walking” Film Screening

The President's Commission on Social Justice, the Religion and Philosophy Department, Campus Ministry, and SGA will be hosting a screening on Monday, October 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the University Theater.

The film Dead Man Walking is based on a book by Sister Helen Prejean, a prominent advocate for the abolition of the death penalty. The 1995 film stars Susan Sarandon (who won the best actress Academy Award for her role as Sister Helen) and Sean Penn and was directed by Tim Robbins.
Refreshments will be provided.
Sister Helen Prejean will conduct a Zoom presentation and discussion in conjunction with the film screening on Wednesday.
