CEL Coordinators
CEL Coordinators are undergraduate course assistants who serve in the role of project manager for the community-based components of a single course for one semester.
Their responsibilities include:
- Facilitating communication and coordination with the community partner(s).
- Leading reflection activities with student peers.
- Supporting a faculty member’s Community-Engaged Learning course components throughout the semester.
- Five CEL Coordinators (one for each course) will be selected annually. Each would dedicate between 5 and 10 hours of effort per week for a 15-week period, and be compensated $10/hr.
- CEL Coordinators would also complete a 3-hour credit course focused on Community-Engaged Learning.
