Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Romans 12:12

Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be, a world without end.
Amen.

The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell, on the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judgethe living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
Hail Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Amen.

Saint Michael Prayer
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Act of Contrition
O my God, I am sorry and repent with all my heart for all the wrong I have done and for the good I have failed to do because by sinning, I have offended you, who are all good and worthy to be loved above all things. I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid the occasions of sin. Through the merits of the Passion of our Savior Jesus Christ, Lord, have mercy.
Grace Before Meals
Bless us, O Lord, and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive, from thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Grace After Meals
We give thee thanks for all thy benefits, O Almighty God, who lives and reigns, world without end. Amen.
Guardian Angel Prayer
Angel of God, my guardian dear, To whom God’s love commits me here, Ever this day, be at my side,
To light and guard, Rule and guide.

The Holy Rosary
(Start by making the sign of the Cross)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
(Then recite the Creed)
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day, He rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
(Then say 1 “Our Father”, 3 “Hail Marys” for the virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity; and then 1 “Glory Be.”)
Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, On earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of death.
Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
The Rosary is divided into three parts, each having five mysteries. While meditating on the Mysteries, recite for each Mystery:
- 1 “Our Father”
- 10 “Hail Mary’s” and
- 1 “Glory Be”
(After each Mystery the “Fatima Prayer” is said) - O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fire of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy.
- (All together this makes up ONE decade)
After the completion of the five mysteries (five decades), the “Hail Holy Queen” is said:
Hail, Holy Queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

The Magnificat
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior, for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name. He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation. He has shown the strength of his arm, he has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has come to the help of his servant Israel for he remembered his promise of mercy, the promise he made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children forever.
One La Salle Prayer
Let me be the change I want to see To do with strength and wisdom All that needs to be done.. And become the hope that I can be. Set me free from my fears and hesitations Grant me courage and humility Fill me with spirit to face the challenge And start the change I long to see. Today, I start the change I want to see. Even if I’m not the light I can be the spark In faith, service, and communion. Let us start the change we want to see. The change that begins in me.
Amen.
A Prayer for Teachers
Let us pause and remember that we share a variety of gifts: not all are apostles or prophets, teachers or workers of miracles, but the Spirit of the Living God lives and works in each of us and among us. Holy is God; holy and mighty; holy and living forever! As we begin another new school year, we pause and pray for all of our Lasallian Colleagues, and teachers everywhere, who are charged with the duty and responsibility of educating the youth entrusted to their care. We pray especially for those who minister in our Catholic schools that they will make the message of Jesus come alive in the hearts and lives of their students.
A Prayer for Students by St. Thomas Aquinas
Come, Holy Spirit, Divine Creator, true source of light and fountain of wisdom! Pour forth your brilliance upon my dense intellect, dissipate the darkness which covers me, that of sin and of ignorance. Grant me a penetrating mind to understand, a retentive memory, method and ease in learning, the lucidity to comprehend, and abundant grace in expressing myself. Guide the beginning of my work, direct its progress, and bring it to successful completion. This I ask through Jesus Christ, true God and true man, living and reigning with You and the Father, forever and ever.
Amen.
International Lasallian Prayer for Peace
Compassionate and loving God, You created the world for us all to share, a world of beauty and plenty. Create in us a desire to live simply, so that our lives may reflect Your generosity. Creator God, You gave us responsibility for the earth, a world of riches and delight. Create in us a desire to live sustainably so that those who follow after us may enjoy the fruits of Your creation.
God of peace and justice, You give us the capacity to change, to bring about a world that mirrors Your wisdom. Create in us a desire to act in solidarity so that the pillars of injustice crumble, and those now crushed are set free.
Amen.
