Important Diploma Information

Diplomas

CBU will print and mail all diplomas through our partner, Parchment. Once all student diplomas are manually conferred and awarded by the Registrar’s Office (typically two to three weeks after final grades are submitted), emails and/or text messages will go out to students when diplomas are ready.

YOU WILL HAVE 72 HOURS FROM THE RECEIPT OF THE EMAIL/TEXT TO MAKE ANY UPDATES TO YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS. After this timeframe, you will be responsible for placing a duplicate diploma request via our Parchment site to have a paper copy sent to a new address – this will cost you $30.

Paper diplomas will take approximately 15-20 days to arrive to your home address.

As a special gift, CBU is offering free digital diplomas. Once you receive the confirmation email, you may immediately access this:

  • Click on the link in your confirmation email/text message.
  • Create a password. Confirm your email address.
  • Download a secure PDF for later use, or share your digital diploma via Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn using the verified link.

Since we send all credentials to your CBU email, if you have a current Parchment account or another personal email address you prefer to use to access your awards, you can merge your accounts:

  • Once your Parchment CBU account is confirmed via the link in your email or text message, click “Profile”.
  • Under the “Account” tab, login information, you will see your username (feel free to update) and primary email account (which will be your CBU email).
  • Under the primary email account information, you’ll find a link that says “Add another email address to this account” – click this and add any personal email you like and save. If a Parchment account exists for that email, the accounts will merge and you’ll be able to access your diploma under either login.

If your diploma arrives damaged or is lost, please contact Parchment directly and provide them your Document ID, included with your diploma package. Parchment will be responsible for replacing these copies with you directly. Do not contact CBU in instances where your diploma is lost, ripped, bent, smeared etc. Parchment is available via chat online or by calling 847-716-3005.
