Homecoming at Christian Brothers University is always a time of celebration, tradition, and reconnection. Whether you’re an alum returning to relive your best Buc memories or a student making new ones, this year’s festivities are set to bring the CBU community together in a special way. Voting for this year’s Homecoming Court will open soon!
CBU students will have the chance to vote for their favorites on February 6 and 7, with a direct voting link provided by the Office of Student Affairs via email.
Homecoming Schedule – February 8, 2025
Music & Mimosas | 11:30am – 1pm | Canale Cafe
The weekend kicks off with Music & Mimosas, a social hour in Canale Arena where alumni, students, faculty, and staff can mix, mingle, and reminisce about their CBU days. It’s a chance to catch up with old friends, make new connections, and soak in the energy of Homecoming. Giveaways, good vibes, and great company—what better way to start the day?
Game Time & Mr. & Miss CBU | 1pm & 3pm | Canale Arena
The Lady Bucs will tip off at 1:00 pm, followed by the Bucs at 3:00 pm, as they face the University of Montevallo in Canale Arena. Alumni, students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to come out and show their Buccaneer pride.
Plus, one of the most anticipated traditions of Homecoming takes center stage on the gym floor, between the women’s and men’s basketball games—the crowning of Mr. & Miss CBU 2025! The campus community will have the chance to vote for their favorites on February 6 and 7, with a direct voting link provided by the Office of Student Affairs via email.
Alumni Reception | 2:00pm – 4:00 pm | Canale Arena Skybox
CBU alumni are invited to the Alumni Homecoming Reception beginning at 2:00 pm in Canale Arena’s Skybox. Enjoy food, drinks, and a prime view as you cheer on your Buccaneers against the University of Montevallo! This is the perfect opportunity to show your Buccaneer pride, reconnect with classmates, and celebrate Homecoming in style.

Kick ‘Em Out Sneaker Ball | 9pm – 1am | LLC Lounge
The Kick ‘Em Out Sneaker Ball Homecoming Dance will offer an evening of entertainment, camaraderie, and celebration. The event, taking place in the LLC Lounge, will feature music, complimentary food, and beverages, with special accommodations for guests 21 and older.
A highlight of the evening will be the formal introduction of Mr. & Miss CBU 2025, who will take part in a traditional first dance to mark the occasion. Attendees are encouraged to wear formal attire complemented by sneakers.
